UNITEN

Since 2013, UNITEN cooperates with Mercator Office to send their students for the Bachelor Exchange program. After the essential Bridging Courses provided by Mercator Office, their students study one semester at UDE in the fields of Electrical Power Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science.

About UNITEN: Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN) programs are focused on engineering, information technology, business management and related areas. UNITEN is one of the first private universities in Malaysia and is wholly-owned by the public-listed Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), one of the largest utility companies in South East-Asia. GMI

In cooperation with Mercator Office since 2013, the German-Malaysia Institute (GMI) sends their students to UDE to study International Studies in Engineering. Upon completion of Mercator Office’s Bridging Courses, the students will study the full 3 year ISE Bachelor Program at UDE in the following fields; Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Metallurgy & Metal forming, Electrical & Electronics Engineering.

About GMI: In 1991, the German-Malaysian Institute (GMI), a hub for advanced skills training was established. GMI provides a comprehensive and well-balanced training of practical and theoretical. The institute offers a broad-based engineering education, with opportunities for specialization and self-directed learning and development. GMI offers diverse training programs and services comprising full time diploma programs, a pre-university program (A-Level), skills upgrading technical courses, train-the-trainers programs, and industrial consultancy and services. The birth of GMI was the outcome of a joint venture between the Governments of Malaysia and Germany. GMI is governed by a 10-member Board of Directors comprising representatives from both governments, plus public and industrial representatives. The institution was set up as a Company Limited by Guarantee whereby the founders are Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) and the Malaysian German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MGCC), and its implementing agencies are MARA and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH (formerly known as German Technical Corporation or GTZ). GMI had its first student enrollment in 1992 and the growing number of enrollment is prevalent.

ZZU

Zhengzhou University in China sends their students to UDE for both the ISE Master Program and Bachelor Exchange Program. Since 2013, their students come to UKM Mercator Office in Malaysia to commence with the Bridging courses prior to their departure to Germany, where they study a full 2 year Master degree or 2 semesters at UDE under the exchange program.

About ZZU: Zhengzhou University has altogether four campuses, i.e. the New Campus, the South Campus, the Institute of Technology and the Medical School. Of the overall area of 6,493 mu, the New Campus located in the New High-tech Zone takes up 4,845 mu, with a construction budget of 1.97 billion RMB and a total construction area of 1.65 million square meters. With large school-running scale and qualified academic staff, Zhengzhou University has at present over 49,000 full-time undergraduates, 15,000 full-time postgraduates and 1,100 international students. Meanwhile, there are over 6,000 full-time staff members. Besides, the university has over 670 professors, as well as 1600 and more associate professors and more than 1,700 teachers with the doctorate degree. RIT

The Riam Institute of Technology from Sarawak, Malaysia cooperates with Mercator Office to send their students for the ISE Bachelor Program at UDE. Since 2014, their students come to Mercator Office to do the Bridging Courses, upon which completed, they study the full Bachelor Program at UDE.

About RIT: In the year 1996, an ambitious educational joint project between The Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Sarawak (ACCCIS) and the Sarawak State Government created Institut Teknologi Riam (RIT). The Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Sarawak (ACCCIS) and Sarawak State Government allocated a funding of RM4 million to conduct vocational / technical training in 14 Chinese independent schools in Sarawak to cater for the needs of developing more skill workforces for Malaysia. Riam Road Secondary School (RRSS) in Miri received RM800,000 funding in 1997 to set up a technical department called RIAM AGRICULTURAL AND MECHANICAL TECHNOLOGY CENTRE (RIAMTEC). Initially, RIAMTEC conducted "Heavy Machineries Mechanics Training Courses" and started with 40 students in June 1997. In these few years, RIAMTEC has maintained a very close relationship with major local industrial companies. Multi-million Ringgit industrial groups such as Samling Corporation, Tractors Malaysia (TMB), Shin Yang Group, Woodman Group and other companies have sponsored our operations to develop more technical expertise. Millions of Ringgit of scholarships and financial assistance have been given to students to pursue their higher education. In September 2003, The Malaysian Ministry of Education (MOE), Department of Private Education (JPS) granted permission for "Institut Teknologi Riam" under license KP(JPS)5195/IPTS/1215 to conduct higher levels of Technical and Engineering courses.
